Raipur, Oct 2025: Tourism and Culture Minister Rajesh Agrawal conducted an inspection of various Chhath Ghats in Ambikapur to review the preparations for the upcoming Chhath Mahaparv.

During his visit, the Minister inspected the arrangements at Shankar Ghat and Godhanpur Ghat, taking a close look at the ongoing preparations. While reviewing, Shri Agrawal interacted with officials and local representatives to assess the status of key facilities such as cleanliness, lighting, security, drinking water, sanitation, and traffic management.

He issued clear instructions to the concerned departments to ensure that devotees do not face any inconvenience during the festival and directed that all arrangements must be completed on time.

Shri Agrawal emphasized that Chhath Puja is a sacred festival of deep public faith, during which millions of devotees worship the Sun God for the well-being of their families and society. “It is the government’s priority to ensure that the festival is conducted in a clean, safe, and well-organized environment,” he said.

The Minister instructed the departments concerned to ensure adequate lighting arrangements at all Ghats and to establish control rooms to assist devotees, particularly during the night. He also directed that monitoring teams be deployed to keep track of the water level and safety measures.

Shri Agrawal further said that all departments must work in close coordination so that the Chhath festival in Ambikapur can be organized with excellent arrangements, allowing devotees to perform their rituals smoothly and without any obstacles.
