Jaipur, Oct 2025 — Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation on Sunday through the 127th episode of his radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma listened to the broadcast at the indoor hall of Sawai Mansingh Stadium.
In his address, the Prime Minister spoke about Diwali and the upcoming Chhath festival, noting that markets across the country are vibrant with devotion, warmth, and tradition. He said the Chhath Mahaparv is a reflection of deep unity between culture, nature, and society, where people from all sections gather together at riverbanks — a beautiful example of India’s social harmony.
He also mentioned the excitement surrounding the ongoing GST Savings Festival, emphasizing that this year, people have shown greater enthusiasm for purchasing swadeshi (indigenous) products during the festive season.
PM Modi reminded citizens that, according to Indian scriptures, trees and plants are blessed entities that never disappoint anyone. “Wherever we live, we must plant trees. The ‘One Tree in Mother’s Name’ campaign must be carried forward with greater resolve,” he said. The Prime Minister also mentioned Ambikapur’s Garbage Café and Bengaluru engineer Kapil Sharma as inspiring examples of those working for cleanliness and environmental conservation.
Highlighting the upcoming 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on October 31, Modi described him as a towering leader who played an unparalleled role in uniting the nation. He urged citizens to participate in the nationwide Run for Unity being organized to mark the occasion.
PM Modi also reflected on the power of the national song Vande Mataram, saying its words stir deep emotion and energy in every Indian heart. “On November 7, we will celebrate 150 years of Vande Mataram. This milestone must be made memorable so future generations can carry forward this legacy of patriotism,” he said.
Speaking on the importance of language, the Prime Minister observed that Sanskrit has long served as a carrier of India’s cultural values and traditions. “Although it suffered neglect during and after the colonial period, today the situation is changing. Social media and youth initiatives have breathed new life into Sanskrit,” he said, commending young people for their innovative work in promoting the ancient language.

So far, more than 11.61 crore saplings have been planted this year, contributing to the state’s green cover and biodiversity.
He added that the government is working with full commitment to empower young entrepreneurs and make them self-reliant. “Today’s youth aim not just to seek jobs but to become job creators. This mindset marks the beginning of a major transformation,” he said.
The Chief Minister announced that loans worth ₹140 crore have been sanctioned to young entrepreneurs. In nearly two years of his government’s tenure, over 91,000 youth have been provided government jobs, while recruitment for more than 1.55 lakh posts is currently in process.
