Tej Pratap Yadav Counters Tejashwi’s Promises, Says Only He Can Deliver Results
Patna, Oct 2025 : National President of the Jan Shakti Janata Dal, Tej Pratap Yadav, on Monday hit out at RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, asserting that while many leaders make lofty promises, he is the one who actually delivers results on the ground.
Responding to Tejashwi’s recent welfare announcements, Tej Pratap said, “All leaders make announcements, but it is Tej Pratap Yadav who has the ability to actually get them done. Go and see the medical college we have built. I don’t care what other leaders claim.”
Speaking about the issues facing Mahua, his political stronghold, Tej Pratap said the people were suffering due to unemployment and lack of opportunities. “The people are distressed and worried; they need jobs. Who becomes the Chief Minister will be decided by the people. Whoever they choose, the Jan Shakti Janata Dal will establish itself here,” he said.
Highlighting his development initiatives, he added, “I have worked a lot in Mahua. Earlier, people had to travel to Patna for medical treatment, but now they get treatment here itself. We have changed that situation. The people want work and development, not empty words.”
Tej Pratap also pointed to infrastructure improvements in the region. “There were no proper roads in Mahua. We have worked on development — from initiating work on a medical college to improving connectivity. Roads will also be built, and we will win,” he declared.
His comments appeared aimed at drawing a contrast between his focus on grassroots development and what he described as the “complacent politics” of leaders who, according to him, “make announcements from comfort but fail to deliver.”
Tejashwi Yadav, who is leading the Mahagathbandhan campaign as its chief ministerial face, had on Sunday announced a series of welfare measures, including doubling allowances for Panchayat and Gram Kachahri representatives and introducing pensions for former members.
The RJD leader also urged voters to give his alliance “20 months” to demonstrate effective governance, saying, “The people of Bihar gave 20 years to the NDA; now give us 20 months.”
The Bihar Assembly elections will be held in two phases on November 6 and 11, with the results to be declared on November 14.
