Chhath Mahaparv is Unique in Indian Culture – Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis

Mumbai, Oct 2025 : Chhath Mahaparv is a unique example of Indian culture. It symbolizes discipline, purity, and collective devotion, said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

He was speaking at the Chhath Mahaparv event organized by the Chhath Utsav Mahasangh at Juhu Chowpatty. On this occasion, MLA Amit Satam, former MLA Kripashankar Singh, Sanjay Pandey, Mohan Mishra, Diwakar Mishra, Vimal Mishra, and representatives from Bank of India and Bank of Baroda were present.

Extending his greetings on the occasion of Chhath Mahaparv, Chief Minister Fadnavis said that during this festival, devotees first offer Arghya (prayers with offerings) to the setting sun and then to the rising sun the next day — an extraordinary symbol of humility and generosity in our culture.

He further stated that since 2014, the Municipal Corporation has been providing various facilities for the celebration of Chhath Mahaparv, and similar additional facilities will continue to be provided every year.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also released the special Chhath festival issue titled “Surya Path”, published by the Chhath Utsav Mahasangh.
