Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai Offers Prayers to the Sun at Chhath Ghat in Kunkuri; Prays for Prosperity and Well-Being of the State

Raipur, Oct 2025 : Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, along with his wife Smt. Kaushalya Sai, offered “Arghya” (obeisance) to the rising sun at the Chhath Ghat in Kunkuri, Jashpur district, on the auspicious occasion of the Chhath Mahaparv today.

The Chief Minister prayed for the peace, prosperity, and happiness of the people of Chhattisgarh and extended his heartfelt greetings to all citizens on the occasion of Chhath Puja. He said that Chhath Puja is a symbol of Sun worship and social harmony, reflecting deep faith and devotion.

Expressing his joy, Chief Minister Sai said that it was a matter of great fortune for him to participate in such a festival of devotion and faith within his own assembly constituency.

He further informed that an amount of ₹5 crore 17 lakh has been sanctioned for the beautification of the Kunkuri Chhath Ghat, which will help expand facilities for devotees visiting the site.

On this occasion, Collector Rohit Vyas, Superintendent of Police Shashimohan Singh, public representatives, and a large number of villagers were present.
