Transport Department Providing Useful Information on Safe Vehicle Operation and Modern Transport Services

Raipur, Nov 2025 : On the occasion of the Silver Jubilee year of the formation of Chhattisgarh, the Transport Department’s stall at the Rajyotsav–2025 in Naya Raipur has become a major attraction for visitors. The department is offering simple and engaging information to the general public on road safety, modern transport services, and technological innovations.

Visitors attending the Rajyotsav described the Transport Department’s stall as educational and awareness-enhancing. People visiting the stall appreciated the various initiatives displayed by the department, calling them a commendable effort toward promoting road safety and a modern transportation system.

Large LED screens at the stall display video modules based on “safe behavior before and during driving a vehicle.” A total of 12 video modules of 37 minutes provide practical knowledge to drivers. All these modules are also available on the Saarthi Transport Platform. Through the simulator installed at the stall, visitors are practicing driving in a safe environment. This simulator is proving to be a useful medium for pre-driving training.

Dr. Sanjay Sharma, Chairman of the Inter-Departmental Lead Agency for Road Safety, Chhattisgarh, informed that the stall also provides key information aimed at bringing transparency to departmental work and increasing public awareness. These include the Bus Sangwari App, driving license and vehicle registration certificate services, High Security Registration Plates, Transport Facilitation Centers, Institute of Driving and Research Centers, the Rahveer Scheme, Government Trauma Centers, and the Cashless Treatment Scheme.
