Congress Unveils 40-Star Campaigner List for Phase Two of Bihar Assembly Elections
Patna, Nov 2025 : The Congress party on Saturday released its official list of 40 star campaigners for the second phase of the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, marking a significant push to energize its state-wide outreach. With the second phase of polling scheduled for November 11, the party has assembled a mix of senior leaders, influential campaigners, and emerging voices to strengthen its electoral presence.
At the top of the list are some of the most prominent figures from the Congress high command. Party president Mallikarjun Kharge, along with former party chiefs Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, will lead the campaign efforts. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, known for her strong connect with grassroots voters, also features prominently. Their participation is expected to shape the party’s core messaging and consolidate voter support across key constituencies.
The list indicates the party’s attempt to maintain balance between experience and youthful energy. Senior leaders such as K.C. Venugopal, Ashok Gehlot, Bhupesh Baghel, Digvijay Singh, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, and former Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar have been included to lend organizational strength and regional influence. Young leader Sachin Pilot has also been named, reflecting the party’s focus on energizing younger voters.
The Congress has also brought in leaders with strong communication and public outreach capabilities. These include Krishna Allavaru, Randeep Singh Surjewala, Syed Naseer Hussain, Gaurav Gogoi, Tariq Anwar, Dr. Mohammad Javed, and Supriya Shrinate. Their role will be crucial in reinforcing the party’s narrative and countering the opposition’s campaign.
Several other well-known leaders who have been active in national and regional politics are also part of the star campaigners’ list. Among them are Akhilesh Prasad Singh, Manoj Ram, Rakibul Hussain, Pramod Tiwari, Kanhaiya Kumar, Pawan Khera, Imran Pratapgarhi, Shakeel Ahmed, Sukhdev Bhagat, Rajesh Kumar Ram, Shakeel Ahmed Khan, Madan Mohan Jha, Subodh Kant Sahay, Ajay Rai, Jignesh Mevani, Ranjit Ranjan, Rajesh Ranjan (Pappu Yadav), Anil Jaihind, Rajendra Pal Gautam, Furkan Ansari, and Pradeep Narwal.
The Congress is banking on the collective presence of these leaders to strengthen its voter outreach and boost its chances in the closely contested elections. As the state prepares for the second phase of polling, all eyes are on how effectively the party’s star campaigners can translate public meetings and roadshows into electoral gains.
Vote counting for the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections will take place on November 14, when the final results will be announced.
