Supplies Corporation save crores by changing software on instructions of Food Minister Shri Rajput

Madhya Pradesh Food and Civil Supplies Corporation has decided to use the software prepared by NIC instead of the software of the Bank of Maharashtra. With this, the Corporation will save several crores. Action has been initiated on the instructions of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Shri Govind Singh Rajput to take necessary measures to strengthen the financial condition of the corporation.

The work of collecting money demand letters sent by the districts and providing funds to them was done through the software provided by Madhya Pradesh State Civil Supplies Corporation, Bank of Maharashtra. On one hand, it took a lot of time to complete the entire process of providing funds to the districts through this software, while on the other hand, due to keeping the funds in bank accounts, the corporation had to bear unnecessary financial burden in the form of interest on it.

Managing Director Madhya Pradesh State Civil Supplies Corporation Shri P.N. Yadav has said that this problem has been solved through online software developed by NIC. Due to this, the time taken for the entire process of demand from the districts and providing funds to them has reduced significantly. Besides, a situation of savings has been created from the interest expenses incurred due to keeping unnecessary funds at the district level. Other resources have also been saved.

The software developed by NIC is more secure because it is OTP based. Various riders have been installed to control the demands made by the districts through this software. Effective control is also being established on various office expenses like taxi fare, stationery, telephone, computer maintenance expenses, and various incidental expenses. These changes made by the corporation are likely to result in annual savings of several crores.
