Speed Up Irrigation Project Works with Quality Execution – Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai

Raipur, Nov 2025 : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai conducted a review meeting of the Water Resources Department at the Chief Minister’s residence office in the capital, Raipur. He obtained detailed information about all ongoing and under-construction irrigation projects in the state and directed that all works must be completed with high quality and that the pace of construction should be accelerated.

Giving necessary guidelines to departmental officials, the Chief Minister said that water resource projects are the backbone of the state’s all-round development. He emphasized that timely completion of irrigation projects is extremely important to ensure the availability of clean drinking water for citizens and adequate water supply for agricultural activities. He issued clear instructions to speed up the ongoing and under-construction irrigation works.

During the meeting, Water Resources Department Secretary Rajesh Sukumar Toppo briefed the Chief Minister on the current status of irrigation projects through a PowerPoint presentation.

Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary Subodh Kumar Singh, Secretary P. Dayanand, and senior officials of the Water Resources Department were present in the meeting.
