Four Boats Seized in Illegal Sand Mining Case

Raipur, Nov 2025 : To curb illegal sand mining in Mahasamund district, the administration is taking continuous and strict action. As per the instructions of Collector Vinay Langeh, a joint team of the Mining, Revenue, and Police Departments conducted a raid today at the Mahanadi sand ghat in village Badgaon and seized four boats used for illegal sand excavation.

The district administration has issued clear directives to officials to conduct regular inspections and carry out special campaigns to ensure effective control over the illegal excavation, transportation, and storage of minerals in the district.
