Dr Neeraj Bora Launches ₹24.37 Crore Development Projects to Transform Lucknow North

Lucknow, July 2026 : Lucknow North Assembly constituency received a major infrastructure boost on Friday with the foundation stone being laid for 34 development projects worth ₹24.37 crore, aimed at strengthening civic amenities and accelerating urban development across the constituency. The projects, approved under the Chief Minister’s Rapid Development Scheme, were formally launched at a programme held at the auditorium of St. Joseph College on Sitapur Road.

The event was attended by BJP Uttar Pradesh Vice President Dr. Neeraj Singh, Lucknow Mayor Sushma Kharkwal, BJP Metropolitan President Anand Dwivedi, Lucknow North MLA Dr. Neeraj Bora, MLC Mukesh Sharma, Rajya Sabha MP representative Diwakar Tripathi, St. Joseph College Chairman Anil Agarwal, along with a large number of local residents, party workers and civic representatives.

The development package includes projects proposed by several public representatives, with the largest share coming from Union Defence Minister and Lucknow MP Rajnath Singh, whose recommendations account for 30 projects worth ₹21.02 crore. In addition, MLC Mukesh Sharma secured approval for one project costing ₹1.35 crore, while Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Sudhanshu Trivedi received approval for three projects worth ₹1.99 crore.

The projects primarily focus on upgrading roads, improving drainage systems, strengthening street lighting infrastructure and enhancing other essential public amenities. Officials said these initiatives are expected to significantly improve the quality of life for residents and address several long-pending civic requirements across the constituency.

Addressing the gathering, BJP Uttar Pradesh Vice President Dr. Neeraj Singh said Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is committed to transforming Lucknow into a world-class city equipped with modern infrastructure.

“These 34 development projects approved for Lucknow North will become milestones in fulfilling public aspirations and improving the living standards of citizens. Under the double-engine government’s vision of ‘Vikas Bhi, Virasat Bhi’ (Development with Heritage), every ward and every neighbourhood is being connected with the benefits of development,” he said.

Lucknow North MLA Dr. Neeraj Bora described the projects as a major milestone for the constituency and said they would significantly improve urban infrastructure.

“Development works worth over ₹24.37 crore will transform roads, drainage facilities, street lighting and other public infrastructure across Lucknow North. Our government remains fully committed to providing every possible civic facility to the people. These projects will improve everyday life and accelerate the overall development of the constituency,” Bora said.

He added that the government’s focus remains on ensuring that development reaches every locality while creating better living conditions for residents. According to Bora, the projects are designed not only to improve civic infrastructure but also to support sustainable urban growth in one of Lucknow’s rapidly expanding assembly segments.

The launch of the projects has generated considerable enthusiasm among local residents and BJP workers, who welcomed the large-scale investment in public infrastructure. Many of the sanctioned works are expected to address persistent issues related to road connectivity, waterlogging and inadequate public facilities.

The ceremony witnessed the presence of several elected representatives and party leaders, including corporators Raghav Ram Tiwari, Ranjeet Singh, Munna Mishra, Anurag Mishra ‘Annu’, Rashmi Singh, Priyanka Bajpai, Man Singh Yadav, Prithvi Gupta, Deepak Lodhi and Swadesh Singh. Former corporators Pradeep Shukla and Rupali Gupta, along with Amit Maurya, Sudarshan Katiyar, Ankush Bajpai, Saurabh Tiwari, Gaurav Tiwari, Satyadev Singh, former city general secretary Ram Autar Kanaujia, city vice-president Ghanshyam Agarwal, Tinku Sonkar, Mandal presidents Shailendra Maurya, Raman Nigam and Sanjay Tiwari, Executive Engineer Sarita Rai, Assistant Engineer Manoj Shukla, Sushil Singh and several other public representatives also attended the event.

The latest round of development works is expected to strengthen urban infrastructure in Lucknow North while reinforcing the government’s emphasis on improving civic services, connectivity and public welfare through targeted investments in local infrastructure. Dr. Neeraj Bora said the projects would ensure that residents receive better basic amenities and that the constituency continues on a path of rapid and inclusive development.
