“Plan Crowd Management to Ensure a Safe Kumbh Mela” – Chief Secretary Rajesh Kumar

Inspection of Kumbh Mela Temple Premises in Trimbakeshwar

Nashik, Nov 2025 : To ensure the upcoming Kumbh Mela at Nashik Trimbakeshwar is conducted safely, meticulous planning for managing the influx of devotees is essential. Separate entry and exit routes must be arranged for devotees visiting Trimbakeshwar, instructed Chief Secretary Rajesh Kumar.

Chief Secretary Rajesh Kumar is on a two-day tour of Nashik district. On Sunday morning, he inspected the ongoing Kumbh Mela development works at Trimbakeshwar, including the temple premises, darshan pathways, control room, and the Kushavart area. Present during the visit were Divisional Commissioner and Chairman of the Nashik-Trimbakeshwar Kumbh Mela Development Authority Dr. Praveen Gedam, Commissioner Shekhar Singh, District Collector Ayush Prasad, Superintendent of Police Balasaheb Patil, Tehsildar Ganesh Jadhav, Trimbakeshwar Municipal Council CEO Rahul Patil, temple trustees, and officials from various departments.

Chief Secretary Rajesh Kumar stated that considering the available space at Trimbakeshwar and the expected large number of devotees for the Kumbh Mela, detailed planning is crucial. He emphasized ensuring that devotees face no inconvenience and that essential facilities for saints, sadhus, mahants, and pilgrims are provided in time. Adequate health services, disaster management systems, strengthening of roads leading to Trimbakeshwar from different directions, creation of parking areas, and construction of ghats along the riverbank must all be initiated promptly and completed at the earliest, he directed.

During the visit, Divisional Commissioner Dr. Gedam and Kumbh Mela Commissioner Shekhar Singh briefed him on the ongoing works, planned projects, and preparations being made for the Kumbh Mela in Trimbakeshwar city and surrounding areas.
