In-charge Secretary Inspects Paddy Procurement Centers
Instructions Issued for Smooth Paddy Procurement Operations
Raipur, Nov 2025 : The in-charge secretary of Kondagaon district, Mr. Bhim Singh, inspected the district’s paddy procurement centers to review the arrangements and interacted with farmers who had come to sell their paddy. During the visit, Collector Mrs. Nupur Rashi Panna briefed him on the preparations and progress of paddy procurement in the district.
On Tuesday, Mr. Bhim Singh inspected various procurement centers in the district and reviewed the procurement arrangements, availability of gunny bags, dunnage arrangements, and the token system. He also weighed paddy bags to verify their weight and instructed officials to ensure procurement strictly as per the weight prescribed by the government. He checked the paddy moisture levels using a moisture meter.
The in-charge secretary directed all centers to maintain proper token management, ensure the availability of operators and internet facilities, and provide essential amenities such as drinking water for farmers so that the procurement process runs smoothly.
Present on the occasion were District Panchayat CEO Mr. Avinash Bhoy, Additional Collector Mr. Chitrakant Charlie Thakur, SDM Mr. Ashwan Pusam, SDM Mr. Ajay Oraon, Food Officer Mr. Naveen Chandra Srivastava, along with other departmental officials.
