Kejriwal Participates in Nagar Kirtan Held in Srinagar on the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur

New Delhi/Punjab, Nov 2025 :On the occasion of the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib, Aam Aadmi Party National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal participated in the Nagar Kirtan organized by the Punjab Government in Srinagar. During the ceremony, Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Bhagwant Singh Mann flagged off the Nagar Kirtan Jatha from Srinagar to Anandpur Sahib. The Jatha will reach Anandpur on November 22, where several grand events will be organized by the Punjab Government to mark Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib’s martyrdom day. Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also attended the Nagar Kirtan and bowed his head to seek blessings from Guru Sahib.

Arvind Kejriwal said that he felt blessed to have the opportunity to visit such a sacred place. “I consider myself fortunate to be part of this yatra. It is our responsibility to ensure that the immortal story of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib’s sacrifice for humanity reaches future generations. Everyone should imbibe Guru Sahib’s unparalleled courage, fearlessness, and message of humanity in their lives,” he said.

Posting on X, Kejriwal added, “It was a privilege and a deeply spiritual experience to participate in the sacred Nagar Kirtan held at Gurdwara Sahib Chhevin Patshahi in Srinagar on the occasion of the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. It is now our duty to take Guru Sahib’s eternal message of protecting humanity, sacrifice, and devotion to the coming generations, so that every child learns about Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s unmatched courage, fearlessness, and compassion, and adopts these values in life.”
