Jan Suraaj Dissolves All Organisational Units, Announces Major Restructuring Ahead of 2025 Preparations

Patna, Nov 2025 : The Jan Suraaj Party on Saturday announced a sweeping organisational overhaul, dissolving all its units from the panchayat level to the state level with immediate effect. The decision marks the beginning of a major restructuring exercise, with the party planning to build a new organisational framework over the next one-and-a-half months.

Jan Suraaj spokesperson Syed Masihuddin confirmed that the resolution was passed during the National Council meeting held at Sheikhpura House in Patna. In the absence of party President Uday Singh, the meeting was chaired by Bihar unit President Manoj Bharti, while party coordinator Prashant Kishor also participated in the deliberations.

Despite the dissolution, Masihuddin clarified that all committees will continue to undertake routine responsibilities until the revamped structure is fully in place. To ensure a smooth transition, senior leaders have been entrusted with overseeing all 12 administrative divisions of Bihar. These leaders will supervise the reorganisation at the district level, ensuring the formation of a stronger, more efficient, and more accountable organisational network.

As part of the restructuring, the leadership team will conduct extensive consultations to examine the reasons behind the party’s poor performance in the recent Bihar Assembly elections, where the Jan Suraaj contested independently and failed to secure a single seat. The team is also tasked with identifying leaders responsible for indiscipline or internal sabotage, with a detailed report to be submitted to the party’s central leadership.

Masihuddin further announced that a General Council meeting will be held in Patna on December 21. This crucial gathering will see senior leaders review district-level feedback, assess organisational shortcomings, and outline a new strategic roadmap for the party’s future. The meeting will also help the leadership take stock of political conditions on the ground as it prepares for renewed electoral outreach.

Party convener Prashant Kishor, who has long emphasised grassroots engagement, has indicated that the Jan Suraaj Yatra and outreach programmes will restart across Bihar as part of the renewed political push.

Saturday’s National Council meeting witnessed the presence of several prominent figures, including former Vice Chief of Army Staff Lt. Gen. S.K. Singh, former Union Minister R.C.P. Singh, senior advocate Y.V. Giri, former IAS officers Arvind Singh, N.P. Mandal, Lalan Yadav, A.K. Dwivedi, and former IPS officers R.K. Mishra, Jitendra Mishra, and Vinod Kumar Chaudhary. Former MLA Kishore Kumar Munna, former MLC Rambali Singh Chandravanshi, former Chief Engineer Hemant Paswan, educationist R.N. Singh, and many other senior leaders also attended.

The party hopes that these decisive structural reforms will strengthen its internal machinery and revive its prospects ahead of future electoral challenges in Bihar.
