CM Rekha Gupta Urges Voters to Support the Lotus, Highlighting Eight Months of Her Government’s Development Work

New Delhi, Nov 2025 : Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta on Sunday conducted extensive campaigning across various wards in view of the ongoing Delhi Municipal Corporation by-elections and appealed to the public to vote in large numbers in favour of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). During the outreach, the Chief Minister highlighted the unprecedented development initiatives undertaken by the Delhi BJP Government over the past eight months, stating that her administration has given new momentum and direction to Delhi’s growth. She emphasised that every commitment of the Delhi Government is focused on improving the lives of residents and making daily life more convenient.

The Chief Minister participated in large public meetings, Panna Pramukh conferences, and ‘Chai Pe Charcha’ interactions held in Ashok Vihar (Ward 65), Dwarka-B (Ward 120), Greater Kailash (Ward 173), Vinod Nagar (Ward 198), Naraina (Ward 139), and Sangam Vihar-A (Ward 163). She urged citizens to extend strong support to BJP candidates. The events were also attended by MP Shri Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, Smt. Kamaljeet Sahrawat, Ms. Bansuri Swaraj, Shri Praveen Khandelwal, Delhi Cabinet Minister Shri Manjinder Singh Sirsa, MLAs Shri Sandeep Sahrawat, Smt. Shikha Roy, Shri Anil Sharma, Shri Neeraj Basoya, Shri Ravindra Negi, along with several dignitaries and a large number of local residents.

Addressing the gatherings, the Chief Minister outlined the key achievements of her government and said that several important steps have been taken to improve the quality of life in Delhi. In the health sector, the Ayushman Bharat scheme has been implemented, providing free treatment of up to ₹10 lakh for eligible beneficiaries, while Ayushman Mandirs and Jan Aushadhi Kendras are being established across the city. To strengthen the economic environment, measures have been taken to ease business for traders, and arbitrary fee hikes by private schools have been curbed.

She added that special emphasis has been laid on infrastructure development, resulting in the continuous expansion and modernisation of facilities in every street, ward, and colony. This includes the upgradation of roads, improved street lighting, enhanced sanitation and waste management, strengthened drainage systems, and the beautification of public spaces.

At the programmes held in Wazirpur, Dwarka, and Sangam Vihar, the Chief Minister underlined the crucial role of party workers and Panna Pramukhs. She said, “Each Panna Pramukh and every worker is our strength, our foundation, and the most steadfast pillar of our victory. Your energy, your trust, and your dedicated efforts will make this campaign historic.” She urged them to ensure that the government’s development initiatives reach every household and every family.

Observing the massive public turnout and strong support across all events, the Chief Minister expressed confidence that the BJP’s victory in Delhi is certain. She said that the enthusiasm and overwhelming support from residents clearly indicate that the lotus will bloom in the municipal by-elections.

The Chief Minister appealed to voters to elect Smt. Veena Aseja from Ward 65, Smt. Manisha Rajpal Sahrawat from Ward 120, Smt. Anjum Mandal from Ward 173, Smt. Sarla Chaudhary from Ward 198, Smt. Chandrakanta Shivani from Ward 139, and Shri Shubhrajeet Gautam from Ward 163 with decisive majorities, so that this journey of development may continue even more effectively.
