Participate in the Bhog Ceremony of Sri Akhand Path Sahib on the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji

Sri Anandpur Sahib, Nov 2025 : Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal joined the sangat on Tuesday to offer prayers (ardaas) for the state’s progress and the prosperity of Punjabi brothers and sisters.

Both leaders participated in the ardaas held after the bhog ceremony of Sri Akhand Path Sahib, organized at Gurdwara Baba Budha Dal Chauni to commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and the great Sikh martyrs—Bhai Mati Das Ji, Bhai Sati Das Ji, and Bhai Dayala Ji. They joined the large congregation gathered to express gratitude and prayed for the well-being of all. The two leaders said it was a matter of great pride for them to have the opportunity to serve during the events marking the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister and the AAP National Convenor said that Sikhism has spread the message of equality and secularism across the world. They said that Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is a beacon of brotherhood, secularism, and socialism for every human being. Kejriwal and Mann said that Punjabis, especially Sikhs, have inherited a glorious legacy of sacrifice and bravery from the great Sikh Gurus, who taught them to stand against oppression, tyranny, and injustice.

The Chief Minister and AAP National Convenor said that it is the duty of the state government to preserve this rich cultural heritage forever for future generations. They said that millions of people around the world wish that the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji be commemorated on a grand scale, befitting the Guru’s unparalleled supreme sacrifice. Kejriwal and Mann said that in keeping with these expectations, the state government has made humble efforts to make the observances memorable. They added that the government and the people of Punjab consider themselves extremely fortunate to witness this magnificent and sacred historic occasion.
