Urban bodies need to take strict action regarding dangerous and dilapidated buildings located in the urban areas of the state and remove their dangerous portions immediately. Abovesaid instructions have been issued by Commissioner Urban Administration and Development Shri Bharat Yadav to all the Commissioners, Municipal Corporations, Chief Municipal Officers, and Municipal Council.
In his instructions, Commissioner Shri Bharat Yadav says that the Directorate of Urban Administration and Development had issued detailed guidelines in this regard in June, long before the beginning of the rainy season. He said that there is a provision in Sections 309 and 310 of the Municipality Act 1956 and Section 221 of the Madhya Pradesh Municipality Act 1961 that strict action can be taken concerning dilapidated buildings located in the urban areas of the state. He has said in his instructions that to prevent any kind of loss of life and property, regular action must be taken against dilapidated houses as per the sections of the Act.

Information regarding notices given to dilapidated private or government buildings and their list should be necessarily made available to the district administration and police administration.
