Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma Attends Acharya Sundar Sagar Ji Maharaj’s Divine Discourse, Honoured with ‘Matrubhusevak’ Title

Jaipur, Nov 2025 : Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma participated in the divine discourse of Acharya Sundar Sagar Ji Maharaj, praising the Jain philosophy of life and the teachings of the 24 Tirthankaras that have guided humanity on the right path. Speaking at the event held at the Sanganer Camp office, CM Sharma highlighted the exemplary life of Acharya Sundar Sagar Ji, describing it as a perfect blend of knowledge, non-violence, renunciation, penance, and compassion.

CM Sharma said, “Our government is dedicated to the development and protection of all religions. I urge people not only to listen to the teachings of Jain monks but also to incorporate them into their lives.” He emphasized that true greatness lies in humility, true strength in non-violence, and true happiness in renunciation, lessons reflected in Acharya Sundar Sagar Ji’s life.

Felicitation and Tribute:
The Chief Minister paid respects to the Jain monks, escorting them from the Adinath Temple in SFS Mansarovar to the Sanganer Camp office, where he was welcomed with flower showers and ceremonial music. During the event, CM Sharma was honoured with the title of ‘Matrubhusevak’. Earlier, he visited the Adinath Temple to offer prayers for the prosperity and well-being of the state.

Jain Philosophy and Its Relevance:
Highlighting the Jain principles, the CM said, “Jainism teaches us the art of living. The 24 Tirthankaras have guided humanity towards the right path through the ages. The greatest tenet of Jainism is ‘Ahimsa Parmo Dharma’—non-violence is supreme. This is not merely a statement but a complete philosophy of life. In today’s world, struggling with violence, Jain teachings are more relevant than ever.”

He added that the five great vows of Jainism—non-violence, truth, non-stealing, celibacy, and non-possession—provide valuable guidance in today’s materialistic society, teaching that true happiness lies in inner contentment rather than external possessions.

Government’s Commitment:
CM Sharma reaffirmed the Rajasthan government’s commitment to promoting Jain values and teachings. He noted that the state is prioritizing development works at Jain pilgrimage sites, ensuring roads, drinking water, sanitation, and security for devotees. During the program, he also listened to Acharya Sundar Sagar Ji Maharaj’s teachings.

The event was attended by Acharya Sundar Sagar Ji Maharaj, Acharya Shanshak Ji Maharaj, Cooperative Minister Gautam Kumar Dak, Jaipur Greater Deputy Mayor Puneet Karnawat, numerous Jain monks, and a large gathering of devotees.
