Rajasthan Wins Gold Medal for Outstanding Performance at the International Trade Fair

Rajasthan has been awarded the Gold Medal for its outstanding performance as the Partner State at the 44th India International Trade Fair (IITF) held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The fair concluded on Thursday with an official closing ceremony.

During the ceremony, the Gold Medal was received on behalf of Rajasthan by Pavilion Director Harsh Sharma and Manager Vinay Sharma from Dr. Neeraj Khairwal, MD of ITPO.

Director Harsh Sharma expressed pride, stating that this achievement is a moment of honour for the entire state. He added that the award would further encourage the preservation and promotion of Rajasthan’s handicrafts, art, and culture, while also helping to take them to national and international audiences.

Rajasthan Pavilion—A Major Attraction

This year, the Rajasthan Pavilion was designed in collaboration with the Industries Department, Tourism Department, RIICO, BIP, Khadi, Rajeevika, and RUDA, making it rich, vibrant, and visually appealing. Traditional Rajasthani cuisines and handicraft stalls were among the biggest attractions for visitors, leading to exceptional sales and immense enthusiasm among artisans and handicraft entrepreneurs.

The pavilion highlighted the spirit of “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat”, showcasing a special cultural integration between Rajasthan and Assam, which drew significant visitor interest. Through this exchange, both states displayed their unique art, culture, and trade potential, contributing to stronger cultural and commercial ties.

Harsh Sharma noted that this initiative will create more national and international opportunities for artisans, craftsmen, entrepreneurs, and investors from Rajasthan.

Live Demonstrations and Special Exhibits

The Rajasthan Pavilion hosted live demonstrations by artisans and entrepreneurs, which captivated the audience. A special One District One Product (ODOP) Wall and an exhibition based on the state’s heritage, innovation, and sustainable industrial development added further appeal, ensuring a continuous flow of visitors.

It was due to this strong engagement, high-quality displays, and cultural richness that the Rajasthan Pavilion succeeded in securing the Gold Medal.

A Platform for Global Opportunities

The 14-day international trade fair, themed around Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, showcased Rajasthan’s art, culture, handicrafts, tourism, and industrial growth on a global platform. For the state’s craftsmen and small entrepreneurs, the fair provided invaluable international exposure and long-term business opportunities.

Rajasthan’s exceptional performance and the Gold Medal win have brought pride to the state, reinforcing its identity as a hub of rich culture, skilled craftsmanship, and vibrant economic potential.
