Gandhinagar, Nov 2025 : Gujarat has secured the hosting rights for the Commonwealth Games 2030. This achievement was celebrated at the Chintan Shibir at Shrimad Rajchandra Ashram in Dharampur in the presence of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel and Deputy Chief Minister Shri Harsh Sanghavi.
 
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister said that Gujarat being awarded the hosting rights of the Commonwealth Games is a testament to the vision and foresight of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He noted that it is a moment of pride for the entire nation. He added that the Prime Minister’s belief that if any country in the world can achieve something, India can achieve it too, has inspired the nation to compete with the world across every sector today.
 
The infrastructure created by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for major sporting events has paved the way for this historic achievement. As a result of the committed efforts of our dynamic Prime Minister and Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah, India has secured approval to host the Commonwealth Games 2030. Under their guidance, the nation stands fully prepared to welcome the world to India and position itself as a leading global sports hub.
 
Expressing his happiness, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Harsh Sanghavi said that this is a proud moment for India. As the Commonwealth Games complete 100 years, Gujarat receiving the opportunity to lead is a moment of great honour. He noted that the hard work put in by Shri Narendra Modi 20 years ago is bearing fruit today. Through the teamwork of the Sports Department and the strength of the presentation, Gujarat and Ahmedabad have secured the hosting rights, for which he extended his congratulations to all. He added that under the leadership of Chief Minister, success is being achieved across every sector. Just as Gujarat has secured the Commonwealth Games, efforts are now underway to bring the Olympics as well. This is only the beginning. As a team leader, the Chief Minister has set an exemplary standard, and the Gujarat team is working in a way that brings pride to the entire nation.
 
To mark the occasion, everyone exchanged sweets in a gesture of collective joy. The moment was highlighted with enthusiastic fireworks, and the Council of Ministers released balloons to symbolize India’s and Gujarat’s aspiration for soaring development.
 
On this occasion, all the Ministers of the Council of Ministers, Chief Secretary Shri Manoj Kumar Das, and senior administrative officers were present.
