Flagship Programs Under CM Bhajanlal Sharma Ensure Inclusive Development Across Rajasthan
Jaipur, Nov 2025 : Under the capable leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhajanlal Sharma, the state government is working with determination to realize the vision of “Our Progressive Rajasthan.” Along with preparing vision documents for planned development and the upliftment of all sections, the government has included 25 major schemes—initiated by the Central Government and state-funded—into the state’s flagship program. This flagship program covers key initiatives related to rural and urban development, agriculture, health, women’s empowerment, and nation-building. The state’s development framework is being woven around these schemes, making the principle of “Sarvajan Hitay—Sarvajan Sukhay” (welfare and happiness of all) a reality.
Comprehensive Development for Half the State Population
The government has included several schemes in its flagship program for the holistic development of women, who constitute half of the state’s population. The “Lado Pratshaahan Yojana” is a major step toward empowerment, providing financial support of 1.5 lakh INR in various stages from birth to education for girls from poor families. Similarly, women are being trained and empowered through schemes like Namo Drone Didi, Solar Didi, Lakhpati Didi, Bank Sakhi, Krishi Sakhi, and Pashu Sakhi.
Welfare for the Marginalized
To implement Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay’s vision of “Antyodaya,” the government is ensuring the welfare of marginalized groups through flagship schemes. Under the Mukhyamantri Swarnidhi Yojana, urban unorganized workers, including construction laborers, artisans, gig workers, transport and care workers, sanitation and domestic workers, are provided short-term loans for financial support. Efforts under the Food Security Portal include removing ineligible beneficiaries and adding eligible families. Under the PM Housing Scheme (Urban), economically weaker families are provided subsidized housing.
Expansion in Health and Energy Sectors
The flagship program also includes expansion of health infrastructure under the Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission, with new health centers, critical care hospitals, and labs. In the energy sector, work under PM-KUSUM components A and C is progressing rapidly, including installation of solar energy plants and solar agricultural pumps, ensuring grid connectivity and uninterrupted power supply through the Revised Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS).
Environment and Water Conservation Initiatives
Inspired by PM Narendra Modi’s “One Tree for Mother” campaign, the state government launched “Mission Hariyalo Rajasthan” to plant 50 crore trees in five years. The “Karmabhoomi Se Matrubhoomi” campaign is addressing groundwater depletion, while the Jal Swavalamban Campaign 2.0 constructs water harvesting structures in over 4,700 villages, aiming for 1.1 lakh installations.
Strengthening Rural Infrastructure
Flagship schemes include the Pandit Deendayal Poverty-Free Village Plan, Atal Progress Path road construction in towns with 5,000+ population, rural road and bridge connectivity under PMGSY, and provision of pucca houses under PM Rural Housing Scheme. The Jal Jeevan Mission ensures household tap water connections, while Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural) promotes open defecation-free villages.
Empowering Farmers and Digital Land Ownership
Schemes under PM Agriculture Irrigation include grants for farm ponds, polyhouses, greenhouses, low-tunnel irrigation, and drip-sprinkler systems. Landless farmers are provided agricultural tools, and ownership cards are issued digitally, enabling legal rights and easier access to loans.
Education and Skill Development
The Chief Minister’s “Educated Rajasthan” campaign ensures quality education, while Atal Knowledge Centres provide vocational training to youth in gram panchayats with populations over 3,000.
Planned Urban Development
Urban development initiatives include Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) for waste and sewage management, and AMRUT for safe drinking water supply.
Promotion of Local Products and Handicrafts
Through the Panch Gaurav program, each district is promoted for one produce, one plant, one product, one tourist spot, and one sport. Under PM Vishwakarma Yojana, 18 artisans receive certificates, toolkits, INR 15,000 assistance, loans up to INR 2 lakh, and interest subsidies.
