Salman Khan to Add Star Power to Telangana Rising Global Summit in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Dec 2025 : Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is set to add significant glamour and global visibility to the Telangana Rising Global Summit, scheduled to be held in Hyderabad on December 8 and 9, as the state gears up to showcase its ambitious growth vision to the world.

The two-day summit, being organised by the Telangana government, aims to position Hyderabad as a global investment destination and project the upcoming Bharat Future City as the state’s next major growth hub. The event will bring together policymakers, industry leaders, investors, and global stakeholders to explore opportunities across multiple sectors.

Salman Khan’s participation has drawn special attention, particularly in view of his plans to establish world-class film studios at Bharat Future City, where the summit will also be hosted. The development is expected to give a massive boost to Telangana’s aspirations of emerging as a major hub for the film and creative industries.

“We are honoured to welcome Salman Khan. One of India’s most celebrated superstars, Salman Khan has shaped the country’s film industry for more than three decades. An icon whose impact spans cinema, philanthropy, and culture,” the organisers said in a social media post.

“With his upcoming plans to establish world-class film studios in Hyderabad’s Bharat Future City, Salman Khan is now stepping into a powerful new role in India’s creative economy,” the post added.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had met Salman Khan in Mumbai on October 30, during which the actor lauded Telangana’s rapid progress and development vision. According to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), Salman Khan assured the Chief Minister that he would actively promote the Telangana Rising Summit on global platforms.

The actor reportedly expressed admiration for the state’s long-term growth strategy and promised to support the government in projecting Telangana’s vibrant and progressive image internationally.

A major highlight of the summit will be the unveiling of the Telangana Rising Vision 2047 document. The ambitious roadmap aims to transform Telangana into a $3 trillion economy by 2047, with a focused target of achieving $1 trillion by 2035, driven by rapid economic expansion and inclusive social development.

Along with Salman Khan, actor-producer Ajay Devgn will be another key celebrity presence at the Global Summit. Ajay Devgn is expected to sign an agreement with the Telangana government for the development of a state-of-the-art film studio and film city in Hyderabad.

“We are honoured to welcome Ajay Devgn to the Telangana Rising Global Summit. A distinguished actor-producer, his collaboration with the state is set to bring cutting-edge film production and VFX capabilities to Telangana,” the organisers said.

In July this year, Ajay Devgn had met Chief Minister Revanth Reddy in New Delhi and expressed keen interest in establishing a world-class film studio in the state. The CMO later revealed that the proposal includes international-standard animation, VFX, and AI-powered smart studios, along with a skill development institute to train professionals across various segments of the film industry.

With the participation of two of India’s biggest film stars, the Telangana Rising Global Summit is expected to receive unprecedented national and international attention, strengthening Hyderabad’s emergence as a future hub for investment, innovation, and the creative economy.
