Special Workshop on Environmental Clearance System Organized — Stronger Environmental Clearance System to Ensure Sustainable Growth: SEIAA Chairperson
Jaipur, December 2025 : A special workshop was organized by the State Environmental Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA) and the State Expert Appraisal Committee (SEAC) to address and quickly resolve issues arising in the environmental clearance system. The one-day workshop was held on Thursday at the Rajasthan Forestry and Wildlife Training Institute, Jaipur. During the workshop, subject experts provided guidance and training to NABET-accredited consultants for education and capacity building.
SEIAA Chairman Shri Munish Kumar Garg emphasized that strengthening and making the environmental clearance system effective is essential for sustainable growth. He noted that this capacity-building workshop for consultants was organized to ensure that projects are implemented in accordance with environmental standards. Shri Garg added that the workshop would provide participants with detailed knowledge of the latest regulations, procedures, and technical requirements related to environmental clearances.
The workshop included sessions such as case studies, offering practical insights into environmental clearance processes. Key participants included Shri Vijay N, Secretary of Environment & Climate Change Department and ex-officio Member Secretary of SEIAA, Shri Manphool Singh, SEIAA members, Shri Ajay Gupta, Chairperson of SEAC-I, along with other officials, staff, and participants from SEIAA and SEAC, who actively engaged in the discussions.
