Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel Lays Foundation Stone of Menaba Hospital in Unjha

Gandhinagar, December 2025 : Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel laid the foundation stone for the state-of-the-art Menaba Rotary Multi-Speciality Hospital,  which will be constructed on a spacious 10-acre campus in Unjha.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister stated thatPrime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, during his tenure as Chief Minister, laid a robust foundation for holistic development with a strong focus on public welfare. As a result of these efforts, advanced healthcare services have now become accessible even in remote regions.

He was confident that this hospital would emerge as a modern healthcare hub for the entire North Gujarat region. During the event, CM also felicitated the donors who contributed to the noble mission of delivering quality healthcare services to citizens.

Lauding Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s efforts to transform the healthcare sector, CM noted that his 11-year tenure brought remarkable transformation not only in medical services but also in medical education.

During his tenure as Chief Minister of Gujarat, the state had 1,175 medical seats. Thanks to his visionary leadership, this number has grown substantially, ensuring that even remote villages now have easier access to doctors and healthcare services.

Under the leadership of  Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Central Government offers free treatment worth ₹5 lakh under the Ayushman Bharat scheme to promote health and reduce medical expenses. The State Government has supplemented this with an additional ₹5 lakh, giving the people of Gujarat a total health protection cover of ₹10 lakh.

CM added thatdialysis centres are now operational in every taluka and chemotherapy centres in every district, so people no longer need to travel far for treatment of serious illnesses.

Cabinet Minister Shri Rushikesh Patel stated that doctors and skilled medical staff form the backbone of healthcare services, and the Prime Minister has significantly expanded medical seats to address this need. He further noted that the state has developed a robust network of PHCs, CHCs, and sub-district hospitals. The Minister expressed confidence that, owing to its strategic location, the hospital will play a crucial role in handling critical emergencies such as road accidents.

The hospital to be constructed in Unjha will cover 1 lakh square feet on a sprawling 10-acre campus and will offerultra-modern healthcare services. It will house 4 operationtheatres, over 200 beds, 20 ICU beds, and 20 speciality clinics. Key departments, including General Medicine, Neuro and Spine, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Cardiology, Oncosurgery, and Critical Care, will be fully operational. To address specialised medical needs, facilities such as IVF, NICU-PICU, a Chemotherapy Centre, and Gynaecology Labour Rooms have also been incorporated. Moreover, 24/7 services will include essential amenities like a pharmacy, laboratory, CT scan, digital X-ray, blood bank, and ‘ICU on Wheels’ to ensure immediate patient care.

The event was attended by MLAs Shri K.K. Patel (Unjha), Shri MukeshPatel (Mehsana), Shri Sardarbhai Chaudhary (Kheralu), Shri SukhajiThakor(Bahucharaji), Shri RajendraChavda (Kadi), and Shri KiritPatel (Patan), Unjha Municipal President Smt. Jignaben Patel, APMC Unjha Chairman, Shri Dinesh Patel, Collector, Shri S.K. Prajapati, District Development Officer,DrJasmine Hasrat, as well as hospital donors and a large number of citizens.
