Guardian Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha Unveils 75-Foot National Flag Pole

Mumbai : A 75-foot tall National Flag pole has been installed near the main gate of Sanjay Gandhi National Park in Borivali by the District Planning Committee. On August Revolution Day, Skill Development Minister and Mumbai Suburban District Guardian Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha hoisted the flag at this location. Minister Lodha also announced that the government has allocated Rs. 25 crores for the development of Sanjay Gandhi National Park, including plans to launch the Vanrani mini train soon.

Former MP Gopal Shetty, MLA Sunil Rane, MLA Manisha Chaudhary, Mumbai Suburban Collector Rajendra Kshirsagar, Director of Sanjay Gandhi National Park and Forest Conservator G. Mallikarjun, and Conservator of Forests Revathi Patil were present at the event.

Minister Lodha emphasized that the national flag at the park’s main gate will serve as an inspiration to all visitors. A daily flag hoisting ceremony and national anthem will be held at 7:30 AM. He reminded citizens that the flag symbolizes patriotism and sacrifice, and urged everyone to unite for the country.

He added that under the leadership of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Mumbai’s development is progressing rapidly. The government is following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s directive to prioritize public interest projects. The Rs. 25 crore fund for Sanjay Gandhi National Park will be used for road improvements, renovation of the main hall and internal buildings, and enhancing tourism facilities. Additionally, a Chitrarath van has been launched to promote Social Justice Development Department schemes, and an electric bus charging station has been inaugurated within the park.
