Global Energy Leaders Summit 2025: Energy Minister Outlines Rajasthan’s Energy Sector Roadmap

Jaipur, December 2025 — Energy Minister Mr. Hiralal Nagar on Saturday presented the roadmap for the development of Rajasthan’s energy sector at the Global Energy Leaders Summit 2025 held in Puri, Odisha.

Mr. Nagar highlighted the state’s progress in renewable energy under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma. He noted that Rajasthan’s achievements in solar and renewable energy serve as a model for other states in the country.

The minister emphasized the successful implementation of the ambitious PM-KUSUM scheme in Rajasthan, aimed at empowering farmers as both food and energy providers. Under Component-A and Component-C, around 2,470 MW of decentralized solar power plants have been installed, placing Rajasthan among the leaders in decentralized solar energy in India.

Mr. Nagar also discussed the state government’s initiatives to develop battery energy storage systems to meet peak electricity demand. A total storage capacity of 6,000 MWh is being developed, positioning Rajasthan at the forefront of energy storage technology in the country.

He added that the state is fully committed to contributing to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of making India a leading developed nation by 2047.

The two-day summit was inaugurated by Odisha Chief Minister Mr. Mohan Charan Majhi and Union Minister of New and Renewable Energy Mr. Prahlad Joshi. Delhi Energy Minister Mr. Ashish Sood, senior officials, and energy sector experts also participated in discussions on the country’s energy roadmap.
