Global Energy Leaders Summit 2025 – Day 2 Highlights Public‑Private Dialogue on Sustainable Energy Transition
Odisha, Dec 2025 – The second day of the Global Energy Leaders Summit 2025 featured a pivotal Public‑Private Dialogue session themed “Partnership”, focusing on sustainability, balance, and innovation in the energy transition. Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Shri Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo was present during the session. The session, moderated by Mr. William Morrison, Chairman, MetricsLed. Principal Secretary, Energy – Shri Vishal Dev, underscored the need to shift from fossil‑based fuel to non‑fossil‑based energy sources to drive a successful transition.
The panel emphasized that overcoming the challenges of the energy transition in the country requires robust Public‑Private Partnership (PPP) models, with a strong balance of investment being a critical component. A notable example cited was Odisha’s distribution system, presented as a classic example of effective energy management under the DISCOM framework.
The dialogue featured a distinguished panel including, Dr. Praveer Sinha, CEO, Tata Power, Shri Debabrata Ghosh, India Head, Aurora Energy, Shri Chandra Bhusan, CEO, iForest, Shri Vivek Jaswal, EVP (Green Hydrogen & PMO), Renew, Shri Prashant Choubey, President, Avaada Group.
The summit highlighted that innovative PPP investments and a balanced approach to energy infrastructure are essential to achieve a sustainable, non‑fossil‑based energy future and ensure resilient distribution systems.
