CM Dr. Yadav Interacts with Unnatisheel Krishi Sakhis Practising Natural Farming

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Jhabua district offers immense potential for natural farming, which not only promotes good health but also provides farmers with a sustainable source of higher income. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, new opportunities have emerged for the agricultural sector, and the State Government is implementing all necessary initiatives under the Krishi Kalyan Varsh to promote natural farming across the State.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav made these remarks while participating in the State-level Capacity Building and Loan Distribution Programme for Self-Help Groups at Thandla in Jhabua district on Friday. During the programme, he interacted with progressive Krishi Sakhis and farmers practising natural farming from different parts of the district. He listened to their experiences and discussed various government initiatives aimed at promoting natural and organic farming.

CM Appreciates Krishi Sakhi Training Farmers in Jeevamrit and Beejamrit Preparation

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav interacted with Smt. Sangeeta Damor, an Unnatisheel Krishi Sakhi from Devigarh village in Meghnagar block, and appreciated her contribution to promoting natural farming.

Smt. Damor informed the Chief Minister that she had completed a 5-day training programme as a Krishi Sakhi in natural farming and is currently training 125 farmers in her village and nearby areas. She trains farmers to prepare natural farming inputs such as Beejamrit, Jeevamrit and Neemastra. Smt. Damor said that she has been practising natural farming on nearly one hectare of land and has been associated with the ATMA Project for the past four years, adopting modern agricultural practices while encouraging other farmers to do the same. She further informed the Chief Minister that by adopting natural farming and improved crop management practices, her wheat productivity had increased from 35 quintals to 45 quintals per hectare, leading to a significant rise in her income. She said that natural farming has emerged as an effective means of reducing cultivation costs, increasing productivity and enhancing farmers’ incomes. Smt. Damor expressed her gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav for promoting natural farming.

Chief Minister Personally Meets Krishi Sakhis

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav personally interacted with the Krishi Sakhis to learn about their experiences with natural farming and the additional income they had generated through its adoption. He also extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all the women on the upcoming festival of Raksha Bandhan.

Progressive Farmer Vimal Bhabor Doubles His Income Through Natural Farming

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also interacted with Shri Vimal Bhabor, a progressive farmer from Khedi village in Jhabua block, to learn about his experience with natural farming. The Chief Minister enquired about his motivation for adopting natural farming, the transformation in his agricultural practices, the increase in his income, and his efforts to train other farmers.

Shri Bhabor informed the Chief Minister that he owns 25 bighas of agricultural land and is also engaged in animal husbandry. Through guidance, training programmes, exposure visits and farmers’ seminars organised by the Agriculture Department, he adopted modern agricultural practices. He has been practising organic farming for the past five years and natural farming for the last two years. Shri Bhabor further informed the Chief Minister that under the National Mission on Natural Farming, he had established a Bio-Resource Centre (BRC) on his farm to prepare bio-inputs such as Jeevamrit, Beejamrit and other natural farming inputs. Besides using these bio-inputs on his own farm, he also supplies them to neighbouring farmers. He currently cultivates vegetables, fruits and other crops using natural farming practices.

Shri Bhabor said that while his annual income from farming earlier stood at around ₹50,000, it has now increased to ₹1 lakh to ₹1.5 lakh after adopting natural farming. In addition, between March and June 2026, he earned approximately ₹5,500 from his Bio-Resource Centre, ₹1.5 lakh from his nursery, ₹1.6 lakh from the sale of naturally grown vegetables and fruits, and around ₹6,000 from vermicompost production.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said, appreciating Shri Bhabor’s efforts, that natural farming is an effective means of increasing farmers’ incomes, reducing production costs, preserving soil fertility and developing a sustainable agricultural system. He encouraged Shri Bhabor to motivate more farmers to adopt natural farming practices.

Expressing his gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Shri Vimal Bhabor said that the Government’s guidance and welfare initiatives had inspired him to adopt natural farming and become self-reliant.

Minister in-charge Shri Vijay Shah, Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Nirmala Bhuria, Divisional Commissioner Shri Bhaskar Lakshakar, Inspector General of Police Shri Anurag, Collector Dr. Yogesh Tukaram Bharsat, Superintendent of Police Shri Devendra Patidar and other senior officers were also present on the occasion.
