JP Nadda Reviews AIIMS Deoghar Progress, Targets Hemant Government at Workers’ Meet

Deoghar, Dec 2025 : Union Health Minister and BJP national president J.P. Nadda arrived in Jharkhand on a two-day visit, during which he reviewed healthcare infrastructure, attended organisational programmes, and launched a political attack on the state’s ruling government. A key highlight of his visit was a detailed inspection of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Deoghar, where he assessed clinical services and development works.

According to the Ministry of Health, Nadda reviewed the institute’s ongoing institutional and clinical activities and inspected critical facilities, including the Emergency Department, the 20-bed observation ward and the emergency operation theatre. He also evaluated the hospital’s functional preparedness to handle patient inflow and emergency services. The Union Minister interacted with patients in the orthopaedics ward to understand their treatment experience and assess the quality of care being delivered.

Executive Director and CEO of AIIMS Deoghar, Dr Nitin Gangane, briefed Nadda on the institute’s progress, existing medical facilities and future expansion plans. The Union Minister later chaired a review meeting with senior officials to discuss key operational and developmental priorities. He also took a tour of the campus to directly monitor the pace and quality of ongoing construction and infrastructure upgrades.

Nadda said AIIMS Deoghar is steadily developing into a centre with world-class medical facilities, helping bring quality healthcare closer to people in the region and reducing long-standing regional disparities. He added that the institute is also shaping the future of medical research and training, with a strong focus on strengthening health services so that residents of the region receive the best possible medical care.

Later in the day, Nadda attended a BJP “Workers’ Conference” in Deoghar, where he launched a sharp attack on the Hemant Soren-led Jharkhand government. He alleged that the state government had betrayed the people of Jharkhand, including tribal communities, by protecting Bangladeshi infiltrators and depriving locals of their rights and privileges. He claimed that corruption and broken promises had united the people against the present dispensation.

The BJP leader said party workers were playing a crucial role in strengthening the organisation and taking the achievements and welfare policies of the Narendra Modi-led central government to every section of society. He also stressed that BJP workers remain committed to safeguarding Jharkhand’s heritage and ensuring that the state’s resources and opportunities remain in the hands of local residents.
