Chief Secretary Reviews Rajeevika Development Cluster-Level Federation: Rajeevika a Strong Model of Rural Entrepreneurship – V. Srinivas
Jaipur, December 2025 : Chief Secretary Mr. V. Srinivas visited the Rajeevika Development Cluster-Level Federation at Thikaria, Sanganer on Monday. He said that Rajeevika is a strong model of rural entrepreneurship through which women are becoming self-reliant and establishing a distinct identity within their families, villages, and society. He interacted with the “Lakhpati Didi” women associated with Blue Pottery and Bagru Print to understand their livelihood experiences.
The Chief Secretary appreciated Rajeevika’s success journey, noting that earlier livelihoods were limited to sewing units, whereas today, women are emerging as “Lakhpati Didi” entrepreneurs, establishing themselves in multiple sectors. He assured that these inspiring stories of Rajasthan’s self-help groups will be presented to the Honorable Prime Minister and other senior officials. The Chief Secretary also praised the diverse products created by the women and reviewed the sanitary napkin unit.
Products to Reach Wider Markets through Buyer-Seller Meet – Shreya Guha
Additional Chief Secretary Ms. Shreya Guha said that rural women are becoming fully independent and confident through their skills and hard work. The Rajeevika platform has provided a strong foundation for women’s entrepreneurship. She added that Rajeevika has initiated a “Buyer-Seller Meet” to promote agricultural and livestock-related businesses, allowing women to sell their products directly to large companies. She assured that the initiative will be expanded further.
Jaipur Divisional Commissioner Ms. Poonam instructed that local “marts” be established in various districts, modeled on Rajasthali Mart, to provide women entrepreneurs’ products with wider market access.
State Mission Director of Rajeevika, Ms. Neha Giri, explained how rural women, through self-help groups (SHGs), have achieved significant self-reliance in agriculture, entrepreneurship, financial services, arts, and handicrafts. She also assured connecting their products to online platforms and promoting traditional Rajasthani food products.
During the visit, “Lakhpati Didi” Ms. Indira Devi shared her Rajeevika journey, stating that she earns over ₹10,000 per month through handmade wooden products and actively participates in various fairs and exhibitions.
Ms. Meenu Sharma, working as a banking correspondent at Rajasthan Gramin Bank (RGB), explained how she extended financial services, including insurance schemes, to rural families. She reported that through banking services, she manages monthly transactions exceeding ₹1 crore, earning around ₹45,000 per month, which has greatly empowered her financially and enhanced her family’s respect.
Project Director (Administration) Ms. Preeti and other officials, along with women associated with Rajeevika, were also present on the occasion.
