Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Unveils Telangana Thalli Statues Across All District Collectorates

Hyderabad, Dec 2025 : Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Tuesday virtually unveiled the Telangana Thalli statues at all district Collectorates across the state, marking a significant moment in the state’s history and celebrating people-centric governance. The unveiling was conducted from the Telangana Rising Global Summit venue at the upcoming Bharat Future City near Hyderabad.

The initiative is part of the Praja Palana (people’s governance) celebrations commemorating the second anniversary of the Congress government in Telangana. The statues, symbolizing the spirit and unity of Telangana, have been installed at all 33 district Collectorates at a total cost of Rs 5.8 crore.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, along with Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and other ministers, paid floral tributes to the Telangana Thalli statue at the Global Summit venue. The Telangana state song, “Jaya Jayahe Telangana,” was played during the event, adding a sense of solemnity and pride.

Addressing the occasion, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy extended his greetings to the people of Telangana and highlighted the historical significance of December 9. He recalled that on this day in 2009, under the leadership of UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, the Congress government announced the initiation of the process for the formation of Telangana, fulfilling the six-decade-long aspiration of four crore people in the region.

Recognizing the importance of this date, the state government decided to celebrate it as “Telangana Thalli Avatharanotsavam.” Chief Minister Revanth Reddy also noted that on the same day last year, the Telangana Thalli statue was installed at the state Secretariat to inspire the administration and public service.

Reflecting on the journey towards statehood, he remembered that in 2004, Sonia Gandhi, during a public meeting in Karimnagar, had promised to fulfill the aspirations of the Telangana people and had remained committed despite numerous challenges. He also pointed out that December 9 coincides with Sonia Gandhi’s birthday and emphasized that the state government will continue its welfare and development programs inspired by her vision and the guidance of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Earlier, the Chief Minister took to social media platform ‘X’ to express his thoughts, stating: “Telangana Thalli is not just a concept. It is the emotion of four crore children. That emotion finds its full embodiment in our Telangana Thalli.”

He further elaborated, “Telangana Thalli embodies the power that united all sections of society during the long struggle for statehood. She is the maternal figure who infused life into the sense of Telangana identity, bringing together the thoughts, actions, and efforts of four crore people. Our Telangana Thalli is the great inspiration that continuously awakens us and guides us toward our goals.”

The unveiling of Telangana Thalli statues across all districts reinforces the state government’s commitment to celebrating Telangana’s cultural heritage while inspiring its citizens toward collective progress and development.
