Constitution Created with Holistic Thought – Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis

The Indian Constitution is one of the finest in the world. When India gained independence, it was divided into many princely states. Though culturally united, the nation lacked political unity. Hence, the Constitution was created with holistic thinking to bring everyone together. Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar studied democratic systems across the world and developed a Constitution based on India’s enduring values, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said at the event.
The Constitution provides equal opportunities to all. No one can centralize constitutional power in India. Many landmark cases in the country have underlined the importance of the Constitution by defining the powers of the Parliament and the Judiciary. The book will help common citizens understand the Constitution and its values, he added.
He said that earlier he had attempted to write a book titled ‘How Should a Budget Be?’ in very simple language. Similarly, through this book, he has tried to convey that the Constitution is simple, not complex. He expressed happiness that the book is now available in printed form.
