Jose Charles Martin Launches New Political Party ‘Latchiya Jananayaka Katchi’

Puducherry, Dec 2025 : In a major political development for the Union Territory, Jose Charles Martin, son of prominent lottery baron Santiago Martin, has announced the formation of a new political party named ‘Latchiya Jananayaka Katchi’. The party is set for a formal launch on December 14 in Puducherry, marking Martin’s official entry into electoral politics.

Martin made the announcement from Geneva, where he was delivering an address on human rights. He explained that unveiling the party on an international stage was intentional, aiming to showcase a long-term vision of global cooperation and signal that Puducherry’s political aspirations align with modern democratic ideals.
