Indore Metropolitan Plan to Realise Future Vision: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that Indore has a distinct and significant role to play. A comprehensive Indore Metropolitan plan has been prepared, which will give concrete shape to future development. The Metropolitan map prepared today spans nearly 14,000 square kilometres. Extending from Indore to Ratlam and from Ratlam to Shajapur, this metropolitan region will integrate the surrounding areas and connect with the Indore–Bhopal corridor as a clean city network. The Chief Minister stated that, from a future perspective, the areas that will fall under the metropolitan category of Indore will serve as the basis for upcoming urban development. Accordingly, future buildings will be constructed and the next phase of development will be determined. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav addressed the gathering on Sunday at the ‘Shunya Se Shikhar Samman–2025’ event, organised in Indore.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that metro services will operate underground wherever required, with the government bearing the full cost of the project. He assured that the city’s aesthetic appeal would be preserved. Elevated roads will also be constructed, and wherever elevated roads provide convenience to the public, appropriate access routes will be ensured.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced that within five years, the development-oriented budget would be doubled. He emphasised the need to explore new opportunities and adopt advanced technologies. Preparations are underway to move ahead in every sector—from drone technology to semiconductors, IT to health, infrastructure to wellness and tourism. He affirmed that the state government will leave no stone unturned in promoting investment in Madhya Pradesh.
