A massive human service initiative on the birth anniversary of revered Baba Guru Ghasidas – Five-day free mega health camp begins in Raipur

Raipur, December 2025 : Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated the five-day Free Mega Health Camp 2025 on the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of revered Baba Guru Ghasidas Ji. The camp, organised from 18 to 22 December at the Ayurvedic College campus in Raipur, has been dedicated to human service, social harmony and health awareness.

Greeting people of the state on the birth anniversary of Baba Guru Ghasidas Ji, the Chief Minister wished for peace, prosperity and goodwill. He said the mega camp would prove to be a life-saving boon for thousands. He recalled that Chhattisgarh has entered the silver jubilee year of its formation and has progressed remarkably in every sector, including health.

Referring to Ayushman Bharat being implemented under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister said the scheme ensures quality healthcare for everyone, including the last person in line. He added that the state government is providing assistance up to ₹25 lakh under the Mukhyamantri Vishesh Swasthya Sahayata Yojna for the treatment of critical illnesses. He emphasised that “Health is wealth” is not just a slogan, but a commitment to save and improve lives. The Chief Minister congratulated MLA Rajesh Munat and his team for organising the large-scale initiative and inspected various diagnostic stalls at the camp.

Speaker Dr. Raman Singh said this event is not just a health camp but a strong expression of social responsibility and human compassion. Inspired by Baba Guru Ghasidas Ji’s message of truth, non-violence and equality, this initiative is a commendable effort to deliver healthcare to the last person in society. He said with the participation of more than 100 specialist doctors, the camp offers not only primary tests but complete diagnostic and treatment solutions. He appreciated the well-organised arrangements and the wide impact of the event.

Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal said this mega health effort, organised on the occasion of Baba Guru Ghasidas Ji’s birth anniversary, is extremely beneficial for people of all sections. He informed that a large number of people from Chhattisgarh and neighbouring states have arrived to avail treatment. Those who cannot be treated at the camp will receive free care at empanelled hospitals through the Ayushman Card. He reiterated the government’s commitment to expanding healthcare services under the leadership of Chief Minister Sai.

Event organiser and MLA Rajesh Munat said the camp draws inspiration from Baba Guru Ghasidas Ji’s immortal message, “everyone is equal.” He shared that all major medical services have been provided under one roof, including X-ray, echo, sonography and a variety of other tests, along with free medicines. Special arrangements have been made for breast cancer screening with advanced equipment. Prestigious institutions such as AIIMS Raipur, Balaji, Rawatpura, Ganga Diagnosis, and expert doctors from across the country are participating.

MLA Kiran Singh Deo also addressed the gathering. Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, Food Minister Dayal Das Baghel, Skill Development Minister Guru Khushwant Saheb, MLAs Sunil Soni, Purandar Mishra, Motilal Sahu, Anuj Sharma, Doman Lal Korsevada, Mayor Meenal Chaubey, Chhattisgarh Yoga Commission Chairman Roop Narayan Sinha, AIIMS Raipur Director Dr. Ashok Jindal, senior doctors, public representatives and citizens attended the programme in large numbers.
