Mission Natural Farming to be Implemented to Increase Productivity – Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis LIT Alumni Association’s ‘Udaan’ Event
Nagpur, Dec 2025 : The state government has decided to implement Mission Natural Farming to increase agricultural productivity and quality. Within the next two years, 25 lakh hectares of land in the state will be brought under natural farming cultivation, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated.
He was speaking at the ‘Udaan’ convention organised by the Lakshminarayan Institute of Technology (LIT) Alumni Association. Satyanarayan Nuval and Padma Shri Dr. D.K. Yadav were present as chief guests on the occasion.
During the programme, Dr. R.L. Sonolikar and Arun Dandekar were honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award. The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Deepak Lavhala, while the Jewel of LIT award was presented to Dr. Sugandha Garve, Keerti Ganorkar, R.G. Krishnan, Amit Sinha and Neera Chandna. The Youth Icon Award was presented to Chintan Shah. All awards were conferred by the Chief Minister.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that Artificial Intelligence is now being used in every field. It is a necessity of the modern era, and therefore, institutions like LIT must adopt AI on a large scale. If this happens, students of the institution will be better prepared to face global competition, he added.
Padma Shri Dr. Yadav said that an educational institution does not grow only because of its academic programmes, but because of its students. Satyanarayan Nuval stated that strong determination can lead to success in any field.
A tribute was paid to Rao Bahadur D. Lakshmi Narayan through the Lakshminarayan Geet. The welcome address was delivered by LIT Alumni Association President Madhav Labhe.
Chief Minister Fadnavis was welcomed by Madhav Labhe, while Satyanarayan Nuval was welcomed by Vice Chancellor Dr. Atul Vaidya and Padma Shri Dr. Yadav by Mohan Pandey. The alumni souvenir was released at the hands of the dignitaries. Rakesh Gupta, Utkarsh Khopkar and Mohan Pandey were felicitated at the hands of the Chief Minister.
The programme was conducted by Sachin Palsodkar and Mili Juneja. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Vaidya.
