Government Committed to Ending Drought in Marathwada – CM Eknath Shinde

Hingoli – Chief Minister Eknath Shinde reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to ending the drought in Marathwada. He expressed confidence that, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the state government, with support from the central government, will complete the river-linking project in Marathwada and bring prosperity to the region.

The Kavad Yatra, organized at Agrasen Chowk in Hingoli by the Kayadhu Amritdhara Mahadev Mandir and MLA Santosh Bangar, featured remarks from Chief Minister Shinde. The event was also attended by MLA Santosh Bangar, MLA Balaji Kalyankar, and Hemant Patil.

Chief Minister Shinde addressed various schemes including the Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, Chief Minister Yuva Karya Training Yojana, Chief Minister Vyoshree Yojana, Chief Minister Tirtha Darshan Yojana, Hindu Heart Emperor Balasaheb Thackeray Aap Dawakhana Yojana, Chief Minister Baliraja Free Power Yojana, Chief Minister Annapurna Yojana, Ananda Shidha, and 100 percent free higher education for girls.

In Kalmanuri, MLA Santosh Bangar donated four acres of land for the establishment of a Vipassana center. Additionally, the Balasaheb Thackeray Haridra (Turmeric) Research and Training Center in Wasmat has been allocated Rs 800 crore. Chief Minister Shinde highlighted the substantial funds allocated for various state schemes, including the Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, and praised MLA Bangar for his contributions.

While Marathwada has received good rains so far, Chief Minister Shinde assured that the remaining period will also see abundant rainfall, benefiting farmers and ensuring their prosperity. The Chief Minister was warmly welcomed with cheers.

Initiated by MLA Bangar, the Kavad Yatra from Chinchaleshwar Mahadev Sansthan in Kalmanuri has been conducted for the past ten years. This Yatra travels from Kalmanuri to the Amriteshwar Mahadev Temple on the Kayadhu River in Hingoli, receiving enthusiastic participation from devotees and Kavadharis.
