No need to panic—State gvernment stands with you: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav met people affected by contaminated drinking water in Bhagirathpura, Indore, and assured them that there was no cause for concern and that all affected persons would recover fully and return home safely. He assured them that the best possible medical treatment would be provided free of cost. The Chief Minister directed the Collector to ensure free treatment for all affected persons and to closely monitor the situation, with instructions to ensure that no affected individual faces any inconvenience. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, addressing the patients and their family members, said that the State Government stands firmly with them. He also empathetically enquired about their livelihoods, work-related concerns, and overall well-being.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also interacted with medical specialists and hospital staff and directed them to ensure that there is no shortfall in the treatment of patients admitted to the hospitals. He directed that the best possible facilities be provided, including free medicines, injections, diagnostic tests, and nutritious food. The Chief Minister further instructed officials to ensure the availability of safe and clean drinking water for citizens.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav visited several hospitals in Indore on the evening of 31 December to meet those affected by the Bhagirathpura incident, including Verma Hospital in Pardeshipura, Bima Hospital in Nandanagar, DNS Hospital at MIG Square, Shelby Hospital on Race Course Road, and M.Y. Hospital. He obtained detailed information from patients regarding the treatment being provided and the circumstances leading to their hospitalisation. He also reviewed medical arrangements with doctors and administrative officials.

Urban Administration Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silawat, Member of Parliament Shankar Lalwani, Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava, MLAs Malini Gaur and Golu Shukla, Additional Chief Secretary (Urban Administration) Sanjay Dubey, Additional Chief Secretary (CM Secretariat) Neeraj Mandloi, Divisional Commissioner Dr. Sudam Khade, Police Commissioner Santosh Kumar Singh, Municipal Commissioner Dilip Kumar Yadav, MIC Member Bablu Sharma, and other public representatives were present on this occasion.
