Huge Turnout at Saras Rajasakhi National Fair 2025 on New Year’s Day, SHG Women Record Highest-Ever Sales
Jaipur, January 2026: On the very first day of the New Year, Thursday, the Saras Rajasakhi National Fair 2025 witnessed an overwhelming public response, with an atmosphere full of enthusiasm, joy and celebration. From early morning, the fairgrounds were abuzz with visitors, creating a vibrant festive mood all around. Colourful stalls, the aroma of handicrafts, traditional music and constant footfall turned the fair into a lively cultural celebration.
The Jai Shiv Shankar Self-Help Group (SHG) from Bharatpur recorded the highest sales so far. SHG member Neelam said that customers are showing great interest in their jute products. The Dinu Wani SHG from Barmer stood second in sales, with its embroidered products attracting wide appreciation. Another Barmer-based group, Jogmaya SHG, also achieved record sales, with its Ajrakh-printed fabrics becoming extremely popular. Group member Gangadevi expressed gratitude to Rajeevika for providing such a valuable platform.
Among food stalls, Jaipur’s Radhaswami SHG registered the highest sales, with its pav bhaji emerging as a major crowd favourite. Saraswati SHG from Sawai Madhopur secured second place, with visitors relishing its delicious offerings.
The smiles on the faces of women associated with these groups reflected that the fair is not just a marketplace but a platform where dreams are taking shape. SHG members shared that their products are receiving immense appreciation from customers, with many returning for repeat purchases. This has not only boosted sales but also given their products national-level recognition. One SHG member emotionally shared that with the support of Rajeevika, she has become self-reliant. The Saras Fair has provided her with a strong livelihood opportunity and played a key role in her economic empowerment.
An SHG participant from Andhra Pradesh said she had brought her handmade products to such a large national platform for the first time. She said that the appreciation and trust shown by visitors have significantly boosted her confidence, adding that her products are now reaching customers across the country.
An SHG member from Haryana said the demand for their handloom products was so high that stocks were running out frequently. She remarked that the fair is not only a source of income but also an opportunity to learn and grow.
Visitors, too, shared equally positive experiences. Jaipur homemaker Kavita said she enjoyed seeing and purchasing products from different states at one place. College student Rahul from Ajmer said the live performances and folk dances from various states made it feel as if the whole of India had come together on one stage. A foreign tourist, Sara, said Indian handicrafts and traditional textiles were fascinating and beautifully showcased India’s diversity.
These experiences clearly show that the Saras Rajasakhi National Fair 2025 is not merely a commercial event, but a powerful platform celebrating women’s hard work, self-reliance and India’s rich cultural heritage.
