Bouncers of Journalists’ pen, googlies of word and reporters’ run rate add sparkle to democracy: CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that the ‘Bouncers of pen’ of journalists, the ‘googlies’ of their words, and the run rate of reporters add a special sheen to democracy. He said that Madhya Pradesh has always been a land of strong sportspersons and robust journalists. The state’s journalists, who have guided journalism in the national interest, have brought distinction even at the national level. The Chief Minister stated that the contributions of eminent journalists such as Makhanlal Chaturvedi and Atal Bihari Vajpayee in literature and journalism are exemplary and worthy of reverence.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the gathering after inaugurating the 31st IES–Digiana Inter Press Cricket Tournament organised by the Bhopal Sports Journalists Association at Old Campion Ground on Sunday.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the Bhopal Sports Journalists Association has been organising the Inter Press Cricket Tournament continuously for three decades. Along with competitive cricket, the event also showers warmth and camaraderie. The Chief Minister stated that he himself is marking a ‘hat-trick’ by attending the tournament once again, and lauded the institution’s efforts to maintain the event’s continuity. He extended his best wishes for the successful conduct of the tournament.

On the occasion, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Shri Vishvas Sarang, former MLA Shri Dhruv Narayan Singh, senior journalists Shri Mrigendra Singh, Shri Vijay Das and Shri Tejendra Singh, District President Shri Ravindra Yati, social worker Shri Rahul Kothari, along with a large number of participants, officials, journalists and sports enthusiasts were present.
