Grand Finale of Saras Rajsakhi National Fair 2025 Celebrates Women Empowerment and Culture

Jaipur, January 2026 : The Saras Rajsakhi National Fair–2025, organised by the Rajasthan Rural Livelihoods Development Council and held from December 18, concluded on Sunday with great grandeur and enthusiasm. Every corner of the fair reflected joy, vibrant colours, and the glow of achievement. A massive turnout of visitors, energetic shopping, and the proud smiles of women from Self-Help Groups (SHGs) made the concluding day truly memorable.

Even on the final day, the excitement among visitors remained high. Stalls showcasing handicrafts, handloom products, traditional attire, decorative items, and regional cuisines from various states stayed bustling till late evening. The Saras Fair emerged not only as a shopping destination but also as a living example of the skills, self-reliance, and entrepreneurial spirit of rural women.

Under the guidance of Rural Development Minister Dr. Kirori Lal and the direction of Additional Chief Secretary, Rural Development Department, Ms. Shreya Guha, a grand closing ceremony was organised on the final day of the fair. During the ceremony, the sponsoring banks—Bank of Baroda, ICICI Bank, and HDFC Bank—were felicitated by women associated with Self-Help Groups. This moment symbolised the strong bond between women empowerment and institutional support. Representatives present included Assistant General Manager Sandeep Gupta and Chief Manager Shardul Tare from Bank of Baroda, Regional Head Sanjay and Chief Manager Gopal Rathi from ICICI Bank, and Jaipur Cluster Head Mukesh Goran from HDFC Bank. State Mission Director, Rajeevika Ms. Neha Giri, Project Director (Administration) Ms. Preeti Singh, along with senior officers and staff of Rajeevika, were also present. Addressing the gathering, Ms. Neha Giri encouraged SHG women and expressed gratitude to all participants, organisers, and partners for the fair’s success.

On this occasion, Best Seller Awards were also announced. In the “Other States” category, Heena SHG from Uttar Pradesh won the first prize for record sales and received a scooter. Their silk sarees were highly appreciated by customers. The second prize went to Sogam SHG from Jammu and Kashmir, who were awarded a laptop for their popular winter suits. The third prize was won by Gurunanak SHG from Punjab, whose Phulkari-embroidered suits were widely admired; they received a smartphone.

In the Rajasthan category, the first Best Seller award was won by Jaishankar SHG from Bharatpur for their attractive jute products, earning them a scooter. Dinuveni SHG from Barmer secured second place for record sales of finely embroidered products and received a laptop. The third prize went to Jogmaya SHG from Barmer, whose Ajrakh-printed fabrics attracted large crowds, earning them a smartphone.

Following this, winners of the Lucky Draw and ‘Saras Rajsakhi Shopping Passport’ were announced, with participants receiving attractive prizes. In the Influencer Competition held during the fair, Divine Majesty (divinemajestyhorsema), Vishwajeet Singh, and Aastha Jain (Pink City Mom’s) emerged as winners. Their creative presentations impressed both judges and audiences, receiving widespread appreciation on social media.

The cultural evening of the closing ceremony reached its peak when renowned singer Shehzad Ali took the stage. He was joined by music composer Tahir Hussain and music producer and singer Sultan Sulemani. Their soulful and energetic performances immersed the entire venue in melody, with the audience enjoying the music till late evening and applauding enthusiastically. The blend of music, lighting, and audience participation made the evening unforgettable.

The conclusion of Saras Rajsakhi National Fair 2025 delivered a powerful message of success through women entrepreneurship, folk culture, and collective effort. The fair not only provided SHG women with recognition and market access but also strengthened their role in building a self-reliant India. Saras Rajsakhi Fair will be remembered in the years to come as a symbol of inspiration and progress.
