Rajasthan DigiFest TIE Global Summit 2026 Highlights Social Impact, Women Empowerment, and Climate Awareness

Jaipur, Jan 2026: At the Rajasthan DigiFest TIE Global Summit–2026 held at JECC, Sitapura, a session titled “Social Impact — Essential for Societal Development” was conducted on Monday in Mugdha Hall. The discussion featured Ms. Almas Jivani, President Emeritus, UN Women Canada NC and CEO, AJF, and Mr. Jagjit Sarin, Managing Partner, Dalberg, who spoke on key topics including economic mobility, women empowerment, climate tech, and gender equality.

Ms. Almas Jivani described women empowerment as a global necessity and the foundation of a prosperous society, emphasizing that today it is not merely a social initiative but a crucial element of global development. She explained that investing in women extends beyond a single class, positively impacting families, communities, cities, and ultimately, the nation. “When women gain access to education, opportunities, and resources, the effects are felt across generations. Empowered women create empowered families, empowered families build empowered cities, and together, these cities lay the foundation for a strong, prosperous, and self-reliant nation,” she said.

She further noted that women empowerment strengthens the nation’s economy, innovation capacity, and social stability. Equal opportunities, safe workplaces, leadership participation, and skill development provide women with a strong platform to advance. Thus, investing in women is essentially an investment in nation-building.

Mr. Jagjit Sarin expressed deep concern over climate change, stating that it is affecting businesses and industries globally, not just in India. He urged the entrepreneurial community to take initiative, saying this is the right time to bring “Climate Fortune” to the country.

Mr. Sarin explained that through climate technology, the government is promoting large-scale green parks, solar parks, and green energy projects with investments running into thousands of crores. He highlighted that these initiatives not only contribute significantly to environmental protection but also create vast opportunities for entrepreneurs. Innovators in green energy, clean tech, and sustainable solutions can play a pivotal role in driving both economic growth and addressing climate change challenges.
