LOK SABHA MP MEETS UNION FINANCE SECRETARY

Aizawl, January 2026: Yesterday, Pu Richard Vanlalhmangaiha, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha), met Pu Vumlunmang Vualnam, IAS, Secretary, Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, at his office and conveyed New Year greetings.

During the meeting, the Lok Sabha MP expressed his appreciation that a person from the Mizo community has attained such a high and important position in the Government of India. He also urged the Finance Ministry to facilitate the approval of the proposal submitted by the Ministry of Rural Development seeking an extension of PMGSY Phase-I and Phase-III.

The MP pointed out that many works under PMGSY-I and PMGSY-III in Mizoram are still incomplete, and granting the extension would be of great benefit to PMGSY contractors in the state. He therefore requested the Secretary to take necessary steps to ensure that the proposal is approved at the earliest.
