Lawngtlai Deputy Commissioner Inspects Ongoing Road Widening Work on NH-02

Lawngtlai, January 2026 : The Deputy Commissioner of Lawngtlai, Shri Donny Lalruatsanga, today conducted an on-site inspection of the ongoing road widening work on National Highway-02, covering the stretch between the Pi Awngi water source area at Thingkah and the 3rd IR Battalion, approximately 300 metres in length. The work is being executed by ABCi.

During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner appreciated ABCI for carrying out the work with commitment and efficiency. He noted that although the road is currently motorable, further efforts are required to ensure smoother and safer movement for the public at the earliest. He also stated that while the road widening work has been completed, the project cannot yet be considered finished as blacktopping, construction of culverts, and parapet works are still pending.The Deputy Commissioner urged ABCI to continue working with greater dedication, keeping in mind the needs and convenience of the public.

Officials of ABCi expressed their gratitude to the Deputy Commissioner for his proactive leadership, which enabled the commencement and progress of the road widening work. According to ABCI, the remaining works, including blacktopping and parapet construction, are expected to be completed by March this year.
