Departmental policies and schemes to be framed with farmers at core: CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that in the year 2026, policies and schemes of various departments will be framed with farmers at the core. He stated that the year 2026 in Madhya Pradesh will be dedicated to farmer welfare. Under the leadership of PM Shri Narendra Modi, the Madhya Pradesh government remains committed to the welfare of every section of society. In line with this commitment towards the welfare of women, youth, the poor and farmers, the state government has decided that during Farmer Year 2026, the policies and schemes of 16 key departments will be implemented with a farmer-centric approach.

In a message issued on Sunday, January 11, ahead of the formal launch of Farmer Year 2026 at Jamboree Maidan, Bhopal, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the welfare and upliftment of farmers remains the highest priority of the Madhya Pradesh government. He also extended his greetings to all farmers on the occasion of the launch of ‘Kisan Varsh’ 2026.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is a leading state in agricultural production and holds the top position in the country in the production of several crops. During Farmer Year 2026, the state government will invite farmer organisations, agricultural scientists, experts from agricultural universities and colleges, as well as national and international specialists, whose work and suggestions will help make the Farmer Year impactful and meaningful.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that while the year 2024 was dedicated to women’s empowerment, and the year 2025 was observed as the Year of Industry and Employment with a focus on youth welfare, resulting in employment opportunities for lakhs of young people, the launch of Farmer Year–2026 will be especially significant from the perspective of farmer welfare.
