PM Modi to Engage with Youth at Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue on National Youth Day

New Delhi, Jan 2026 : On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and National Youth Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take part in the concluding session of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on Monday. The event marks the culmination of a four-day nationwide dialogue aimed at empowering young Indians to actively contribute to the vision of a developed and inclusive India.

The concluding session will feature direct interaction between the Prime Minister and around 3,000 young participants drawn from across the country, along with representatives of the international youth community. These participants have been selected through a rigorous process and represent diverse social, educational, and professional backgrounds, reflecting the breadth of India’s youth power.

Over the past few days, the dialogue has served as a vibrant platform for discussion, debate, and collaboration among young leaders. During the final session, selected participants will present their key ideas and recommendations before the Prime Minister across ten identified themes of national importance. These themes include youth education and skill development, technology and digital transformation, innovation, entrepreneurship, social development, sustainability, governance reforms, and inclusive growth. The presentations are expected to offer actionable and solution-oriented suggestions aligned with the goal of building a Viksit Bharat.

Ahead of the programme, Prime Minister Modi expressed his enthusiasm for engaging with the youth. In a message shared on social media platform X, he said that India’s youth, driven by immense enthusiasm and unmatched passion, are deeply committed to building a strong and prosperous nation. He added that he was eagerly looking forward to interacting with young leaders from different parts of the country at the dialogue.

The Prime Minister has consistently highlighted the role of youth as the backbone of India’s progress. According to him, their energy, creativity, and willingness to innovate are key to addressing national challenges and shaping the country’s future. The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue, he noted, provides a meaningful opportunity for young minds to exchange ideas, articulate aspirations, and play an active role in the nation’s development journey.

PM Modi also shared a post by Union Minister of Labour and Employment Mansukh Mandaviya, who welcomed the arrival of thousands of young participants in the national capital. Mandaviya described the gathering as a powerful symbol of “Sashakt Yuva, Viksit Bharat,” stating that nearly 3,000 energetic youth had converged in Delhi to present their vision for a developed India before the Prime Minister.

Building on the success of its inaugural edition, the 2026 dialogue, held from January 9 to January 12, introduced several new initiatives such as “Design for Bharat” and “Tech for Viksit Bharat.” These initiatives broadened the scope of discussions to include technology-driven solutions, innovation-led development, and design thinking for public policy. The inclusion of members from the Indian youth diaspora further enriched the dialogue by bringing in global perspectives and international best practices.

Concluding on National Youth Day, the dialogue aims to transcend the boundaries of a conventional conference and evolve into a nationwide movement. It seeks to inspire young Indians to lead with confidence, take ownership of national challenges, and contribute meaningfully to the collective goal of nation-building, in the spirit of Swami Vivekananda’s enduring message of youth-led transformation.
