Villages and rural people are pivot of nation’s development: CM Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that our country is undergoing a phase of transformation, with winds of development blowing everywhere. Information about government schemes and the benefits of development programs is reaching every village. Villages and rural people are the pivot of the nation’s development; strengthening them strengthens the country itself. The Chief Minister said that ‘Jan Abhiyan Parishad’ plays the role of a bridge between the government and society. Its contribution in taking government schemes to the masses is undoubtedly commendable. With collective and coordinated efforts, we will achieve the goal of Gramodaya se Abhyudaya Madhya Pradesh.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav addressed an event organised under the ‘Gramodaya se Abhyudaya Madhya Pradesh’ campaign at the Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Centre on Monday.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated the State-Level Orientation & Training Programme for the ‘Gram Vikas Pakhwada’ being organised across the state from 12 to 26 January by lighting the ceremonial lamp. During this fortnight, two youths from each of the state’s 313 Vikas Khands are being given a two-day orientation & training regarding the activities. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that organising this ‘Gram Vikas Pakhwada’ from the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda will infuse new energy across the state. He emphasised the need to preserve our rural culture and Indian cultural heritage intact. We must unite to fight anti-national forces. This itself is a service to the nation and society. With everyone’s cooperation, our collective resolve will gain strength and bear fruit. The government will extend all support for village development. Only when the message of development reaches every village will Madhya Pradesh become self-reliant and developed.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that through Jan Abhiyan Parishad’s Navankur institutions and Prasphutan committees, young volunteers should take information about the achievements of various government departments over the last two years and public welfare schemes to all Gram Panchayats of the state. These volunteers will also ensure that the benefits of schemes and programs reach eligible beneficiaries. Appealing to the youth, he urged them to participate enthusiastically in this campaign and take the resolve of a Developed India and Developed Madhya Pradesh, aligned with the aspirations, expectations, and vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, to the masses, so that all citizens become partners with the government in realising this resolve.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that during this campaign, village-level festivals, chaupals, rallies, collective shramdaan (voluntary labour) and family outreach activities will be organised. Emphasis will be laid on environmental and water conservation, promotion of indigenous products and self-reliance, organic farming, and cow conservation. Efforts will also be made to build an educated and value-based society, promote social harmony, cultivate a spirit of civic service, and ensure participation of all in creating a healthy and
addiction-free society. Field staff of various state government departments will also actively participate in this campaign.
Senior MLA and State President Shri Hemant Khandelwal said that villages are our soul and we must strengthen them together. Swami Vivekananda took Indian philosophy to the world. Prime Minister Shri Modi has envisioned India’s development; we all must work together to fulfill this dream. The government is working in everyone’s interest, and its efforts must reach the grassroots. He expressed hope that Jan Abhiyan Parishad would act as a partner of the government and take government schemes, achievements and development programs to every village, helping to achieve the government’s goal of village development.
Jan Abhiyan Parishad Vice Chairman Dr. Mohan Nagar stated that education is the cornerstone of holistic development and that the Parishad is moving forward steadily toward achieving this objective. He stated that the Gramodaya se Abhyudaya Madhya Pradesh campaign is being taken to the masses. He informed that under this campaign, Prasphutan Committees, Navankur institutions, students and mentors of the Chief Minister Community Leadership Capacity Development Programme (CMCLDP), along with voluntary organizations associated with the Parishad and various religious, social, cultural and spiritual organizations, are actively participating. He added that this Village Development Fortnight has begun simultaneously from 12 January in 13,000 selected Gram Panchayats across the state.
