Pre-Budget Dialogue with Youth & Sports Representatives: Government Committed to Nurturing Talent – CM Bhajanlal Sharma
Jaipur, January 2026: Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma said that the youth are the engine of Rajasthan’s development. They are not only the builders of the future but also the architects of the present. He highlighted that athletes represent the state and country on international platforms, bringing glory through their hard work and dedication. Every medal they win is a matter of pride for both the nation and the state. The state government is committed to providing them with ample opportunities to progress.
On Tuesday, the CM held a pre-budget dialogue at the Chief Minister’s office with representatives from the youth and sports sectors. He said the government has taken concrete steps to give sports in Rajasthan a new direction. This includes the successful organization of the Khelo India University Games and the establishment of 17 new Khelo India centers. Additionally, the Sports Life Insurance Scheme was launched, providing accident and life insurance coverage of up to ₹25 lakh for international medal winners.
Opportunities for Youth Across Sectors
The CM emphasized that opportunities are being created for youth in every field, making them active participants in Rajasthan’s journey toward development. He noted that in the coming years, Rajasthan is poised to become an economic powerhouse—but this will only be possible if the youth become job creators, not just job seekers. They are expected not only to build their own future but also to contribute actively to the state’s economic growth.
Employment Generation in Government and Private Sectors
Shri Sharma said that over the past two years, the government has created substantial employment opportunities in both public and private sectors. Over 1 lakh government jobs have been provided, and recruitment processes for approximately 1.43 lakh positions are ongoing. A recruitment calendar for over 1 lakh posts has recently been issued. In the private sector, more than 2 lakh employment opportunities have been created. He also highlighted that 351 examinations have been conducted in the past two years without any irregularities.
During the meeting, youth and athletes from across the state expressed gratitude to the CM for the government’s initiatives in promoting youth development and sports talent. They offered suggestions on youth skill development, technical and vocational education, and various sports-related initiatives. The CM assured that key suggestions would be considered for inclusion in the upcoming state budget.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Industry and Commerce Colonel Rajyavardhan Rathore, Chief Secretary Shri V. Srinivas, Additional Chief Secretary Shri Akhil Arora, Principal Secretary (Finance) Shri Vaibhav Galleria, Secretary (Youth Affairs & Sports) Shri Neeraj K. Pawan, and other senior officials.
