Lawngtlai Deputy Commissioner Holds Meeting with CADC Executive Secretary and Officers
Lawngtlai, January 2026: The Deputy Commissioner of Lawngtlai and Caretaker of the Chakma Autonomous District Council (CADC), Pu Donny Lalruatsanga, held a meeting with the CADC Executive Secretary and officers at the CADC Conference Hall in Kamalanagar.
During the meeting, Pu Donny Lalruatsanga extended New Year greetings and best wishes to CADC Executive Secretary Shri Pronit Bikash Chakma and other officers. Expressing his commitment to ensuring smooth and effective functioning of the Council during his tenure as Caretaker, he said that while Autonomous District Council areas have vast potential for development, misuse of authority could be detrimental. He therefore urged officials to exercise their powers responsibly, transparently, and judiciously.
The Deputy Commissioner reminded CADC officials that they are public servants and stressed the importance of integrity, discipline, and conduct befitting public trust. Emphasising punctuality and proper time management, he advised officers to attend office regularly and adhere strictly to working hours. Highlighting honesty and dedication as core values of public service, he cautioned against the misuse of official authority for personal gain and encouraged officers to remain content with lawful earnings. He further called upon all officials to work with full commitment for the development of the region and the welfare of its people.
Various issues faced by CADC departments were also discussed during the meeting, including matters related to staff recruitment, Muster Roll and Provisional Employees, CADC budgetary concerns, and the utilisation of local receipts. It was decided that issues requiring intervention at higher levels would be referred to the appropriate authorities.
Executive Secretary Shri Pronit Bikash Chakma presented a detailed report on the overall status of the CADC, covering departmental structure, staff strength, and general administrative functioning.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Pu Donny Lalruatsanga.
